Annually, Tropical Isles celebrates Black History Month by orchestrating a wide range of events and workshops that spotlight and honour the depth of Black history and culture. These initiatives are carefully crafted to enlighten, motivate, and cultivate a greater understanding and appreciation across our community. Our program includes a Carnival & Art Exhibition that showcases the dynamic fusion of traditional and contemporary expressions, Spoken Word and Live Performances that give voice to the powerful narratives and experiences within the Black community, and T-Shirt Printing workshops that allow participants to wear their art and messages proudly. Through these specific activities, Tropical Isles provides a platform for the community to unite, reflect, and rejoice in the significant influence of Black heritage, aiming to underscore the community’s ongoing strength, creativity, and resilience.
