In the summer of 2021, Tropical Isles was honoured to welcome Eric Underwood, the esteemed American British Ballet dancer, model, and actor, to our Summer Carnival Camp. Eric’s involvement brought an unparalleled depth of expertise and inspiration to our program, leaving a lasting impact on our young participants. His commitment to fostering self-confidence and imparting foundational dance techniques, along with his invaluable guidance in the performing arts, has been instrumental in nurturing the talents and aspirations of our youth.
Building on this enriching experience, Eric graciously conducted a special two-day workshop in December 2021, entered around the iconic composition “The Nutcracker.” This event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to delve into the world of ballet and performance, guided by Eric’s profound knowledge and passion for dance. Through his hands-on approach and engaging teaching style, participants were able to explore the nuances of ballet and express themselves through the timeless music and story of “The Nutcracker,” further solidifying Eric’s role as a catalyst for artistic growth and inspiration within our community.
