During the challenging times of lockdown in 2020, Tropical Isles sought to bring the spirit of Carnival directly into the homes of our community, crafting a special care package designed to infuse a dash of joy and creativity into the lives of recipients. Our Carnival Care Package was thoughtfully assembled to encapsulate the essence of Carnival’s vibrancy and artistic expression, ensuring that even in isolation, the festive spirit remained alive.
Each package was a treasure trove of Carnival-inspired items, carefully curated to spark creativity and festivity. Contents included Glitter & Feathers for a touch of Carnival’s signature sparkle, Paint & Paintbrush sets to unleash artistic talents, and Glue for crafting endeavours. To add a touch of glamour, Face Gems were included, allowing recipients to create their own dazzling designs. Recognising the importance of safety during these times, each package also contained Hand Sanitiser and a Face Mask, emphasising care and protection.
A highlight of the package was the ‘Make Your Own Carnival Face Mask’ kit, a creative project that not only fostered artistic expression but also served as a poignant reminder of the times, blending the traditional festivity of Carnival with the contemporary necessity of face masks. This initiative was our way of ensuring that the communal spirit of Carnival could be felt warmly from home, providing a creative outlet and a sense of connection during the solitude of lockdown.
